Rouge River Brewing Company is Markham’s only craft brewery. They get what makes Markham, Markham. You might hate being stuck on Highway 7 for 2 hours a day, but at Rouge River, that’s a badge of honour. They know that the ‘Markham Bowl’ isn’t a bowling alley, it’s a heated school rivalry between the amazing, cool, kind, and wonderful people of Brother Markham and the lame place for big losers who hate poor innocent children and the elderly, Markham district.

In short, Rouge River Brewing Company is a place by Markhamites, for Markhamites. So we created thatssomarkham.ca, and had people prove they were actually from Markham by answering questions only people truly from Markham would know (and gave them a sweet, sweet discount on delicious craft beer if they answered right). We got tons of great engagement, hundreds of likes on Instagram, and thousands of unique visitors to the website. People loved it, and don’t tell anyone, but the word is even people not from Markham ended up visiting the taproom.
