Last Christmas, everyone was broke. Inflation was at 7% and rent was out of control. In a time when people were being forced to choose between gifts and groceries, we responded by making GIFbaskets.ca, letting people send GIF baskets to their loved ones instead of wasting their precious holiday money on actual gifts.

We got thousands of hits, got into Strategy’s holiday round up and were even featured in The Hustle. While we didn’t really make anyone’s holiday wishes come true, we did save them some money, and isn’t that what the holidays are really all about?

Thanks to us, it was finally better to GIF than to receive.
